We recommend that you do not install any old Equinox Water Filtration Systems without first speaking with one of our experts. Equinox has been out of business for over 7 years, and many of the old Equinox water filters still on the market have been recalled for defects. Equinox water filters carry no warranty. Equinox water filters may pose a health threat or have a diminished filtration capacity because they have been sitting unused for so long, and several models may pose plumbing threats. If you have recently purchased or been given an Equinox water filter, we will let you send it in to us for credit against an pureNclean system. While we can not service or warranty these old filter systems, we are willing to let you "trade them in" for credit against the purchase of America's highest rated drinking water systems, pureNclean! Again, Equinox water filters should not be installed without first speaking with one of our experts to insure that your model and serial number do not pose a threat to your health or your home. Models # EQ-10, EQ-15, EQ-300 and EQ-2L should not be installed without first checking with us to determine the manufacture date.

In 1991, Equinox International contracted with International Purity Corporation of Arlington, Texas, (IPC) to design and produce a dynamic line of home water filtration products, Equinox Water Systems. The result was one of the most successful product launches in the history of the Direct Sales Industry.

The product line included the best selling Shower Mate, the most successful shower filter ever sold, the EQ-10 Countertop Water Filter, the Rhino Whole House Water Filter and several others. Equinox quickly grew from startup in 1991 to over 200 million in annual sales by the end of 1995, landing the distinction of Inc. Magazine's "Fastest Growing Privately Held Company In America". Water filtration products were the company's core business, making up over 65% of total sales.

In 1997, Charles Strand, the President and Founder of IPC, sold his company to Equinox which became their manufacturing and distribution arm to supply a large network of independent distributors. In 1998, Charles Strand and a group of private investors formed Sun Water Systems, Inc. (SWS) to design, produce, distribute and market a complete line of high efficiency home water products at factory direct values.

In 2001, Charles Strand purchased back all of the assets related to Equinox Water Systems and merged them into Sun Water Systems. Our company now produces over 30 different products, including the top rated pureNclean Pure Water Systems, Beneve, Purity and many others under private label.
